HP Reveals HP Folio 13, an Ultrabook Geared at Business Consumers

HP has recently revealed HP Folio 13, the first Ultrabook from the company, which is specially designed to cater to the business customers. This 13.3 inch device is just 0.71 inches thick and weighs 3.3 pounds. The company has said this device will be available to consumers by the first week of December. HP Folio 13 will be powered by Intel Core i5 processor. It will have 4GB RAM and 128GB hard drive. The company has confirmed that the operating system of this Ultrabook will be Windows 7. HP Folio 13 will also have Dolby Advanced Audio and an HP HD TrueVision Webcam. It will also feature several connectivity ports. The company has said that this device will make use of HP CoolSense technology that uses intelligent software and advanced hardware to make a cooler notebook.

HP has said that the battery of this device will last for 9 hours. Folio 13 will have a back-lit keyboard. The company said that HP folio 13 will also feature an HP ImagePad for advanced, highly accurate, multitouch gesture support.

Folio 13 will have a TPM Embedded Security Chip which will protect the data that is sent via email and is stored on the hard drive. An official from HP has said that this device may re-ignite the interest in PCs. He also said that the company expects to ship around 95 million Ultrabooks annually by 2015.
