The T series of Lenovo/IBM’s ThinkPad is known to be slim, light, and extremely durable. Additionally, the devices run at optimum levels and seldom give users any concerns to worry about. The laptop range consists of two primary models as of now – the T430s and the T430u.
Both laptops are extremely powerful and provide similar features. However, if you are a laptop enthusiast, you will know that small differences actually add up to become quite significant in terms of price value and performance.
The T430s ThinkPad
Lenovo’s T430s is quite a beast in terms of performance. It is competitively priced for the quality assurance you get. The laptop uses a third Generation Intel i7 Core processor, ensuring lightning fast speed; as well as an NVIDIA NVS graphics card 5200M fully geared with Optimus technology. The combination of a powerful processor and a high-end graphics card makes it a brilliant multi-purpose laptop.
It can be used for work, gaming, designing, and almost any other basic function. Other specifications include a 16 GB DDR3 memory, a 500 GB Hard Disk Drive (180 GB SSD). Although the performance is top-notch, Lenovo still promises a fair 7.5 hours battery-life, something most laptops in its range cannot offer.
The 14-inch High Definition display, along with anti-glare technology is acceptable. The laptop is also generally quite thin, starting at just under two kilos in weight, and 0.83 inches height.
The T430u ThinkPad
This laptop is more for medium and small business. The ultrabook has a 14-inch display, and performs basic functions required by offices. The T430u also performs very well, and is extremely durable, making it quite sought after by small and large companies alike. The specifications of the laptop are a third Generation Intel i5 Core processor, which is a fair amount of processor speed for a work laptop; and an NVIDIA GeForce 620M GT graphics card with Optimus technology.
This is enough to show superior performance in an office environment where the laptop will not always be used to its full potential. Other specs include a noteworthy one TB HDD (128 GB SSD), and a battery life of a little over seven hours. The T430u also weighs just under two kgs, and has a thickness of 0.83 inches too.
Do not miss out on the opportunity to try out either of the laptops before you purchase them by simply checking them out at the computer rentals store.
